- This 3-story home requires stairs to access
- Your safety matters. This property features 3 exterior security cameras. Camera 1 is located at the front door on the doorbell facing the front entry, camera 2 is on the front of the house facing the driveway, and camera 2 is on the back of the house facing the backyard. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video when activated by motion. They will record when they first sense motion and 30 seconds after the last motion is detected
- This property does not offer air conditioning
- The seasonal community pool and hot tub are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Due to limited cell towers, Verizon is the only carrier that has service on-site
- Due to local wildlife, food and trash should not be left outdoors, in vehicles, or in the garage. Guests will need to close and lock all windows and doors anytime they're not present

We had a great time. The owner is super communicative, the place is amazing, clean, and in a beautiful location. We hiked at a trail nearby to waterfall due to a recommendation from the owner and it really was a shining moment in this trip.

We had such a good time staying in the star cabin! The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions and/or requests. We loved the wrap around porch and spent most of our time hanging out there enjoying the beautiful weather. The rooms were also on different floors so you have privacy if you’re traveling with friends. Overall we had such a great time and the cabin has everything you need! We will definitely be coming back again!

From the moment we arrived we felt incredibly welcome and comfort throughout our stay.The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could ask for. The attention to detail was impressive, and it was clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here.One of the highlights was nearly 500 movies to pick out from and lots of board games. It was perfect for both the adults and the kids, making it a truly enjoyable experience for the entire family.We also appreciated how conveniently located Star House was, allowing us to easily explore the area.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend Star House to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The Star House was the perfect vacation spot for our group of friends. The views are beautiful, the cabin is cozy, and the large porch accommodated our group easily. We enjoyed the hiking trails, community park, and quiet neighborhood. In addition, our host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun-filled stay.

I can't say enough about Star House, the quaint town, and the generosity of the hostess, Kristin. The home is decorated beautifully. You could not ask for better amenities. The views are breath taking. I had a fabulous weekend laughing with my friends, drinking delicious wine and eating tasty food. My stay at Star House will be a memory for the books. I truly hope to get back there again soon.

Absolutely loving our time up here at Star House! We brought the whole family and had plenty of room for everyone. The downstairs room has a lot of games and each of the 3 floors has its own bathroom. We had a bit of snow so the two fireplaces were much used. We hiked a few of the local trails and enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. This is our second stay and we will definitely be back. 💕

This property is a must visit. The home is in the shape of a star, hence the name. The deck is huge and has a large clearing for stargazing at night. The home is equipped with everything you need for cooking and plenty of beds. The owner was amazing in keeping contact with us and getting everything we needed for our stay. The amenities available to us as guest was a huge plus. Kids loved the pool and the adults loved the golf and fishing. Great place for vacation or just a getaway.

We decided to spend new years with close family in a snowy place with close proximity to Los Angeles making this location ideal. While there were few little mishaps overall owner is super nice and very helpful. We would recommend this place for a small group of friends or family looking for a quick get away. We stayed for two nights at the end of September, 2022. The house was very well maintain and we could find the necessary cooking tools in the kitchen. We enjoyed cooking together for dinner and breakfast and we also enjoyed a dinner from the Mexican restaurant. The community is very small and all the people are very nice and welcoming. The owner lady is the best host. We felt that we were part of their family while we sit and sip the wine. I highly recommend the star house if you would stay with your families and friends.

We would recommend Star House. There are very few rentals in PMC with a large amount of space on a large open deck for telescopes and observing the great night sky there. Usually just too many trees. This is one, but there are steps up to the deck. Lots of love put into this unique "star" home cabin and the hostess is very accommodating.

We stayed in Feb and it was a very good experience. There was some snow on the ground and we saw a deer. The cabin was perfect for our stay. Everyone had their own room and bed. The patio was impressive. The only thing that i would mention is the smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the home. There were used cig butts in the ash trays outside the door. That being said, I would stay at this place again.

We just came home from spending the last week a The Star House in Pine Mountain Club. The house is conveniently located to every thing Pine Mountain Club has to offer. The restaurants, and clubhouse and pool are a 3 minute drive. The house has everything you need to spend your vacation relaxed and comfortable. Every day we got up and went for a little hike and then spent the afternoon by the beautiful pool. On Saturday morning we were awakened by a strange noise outside our window. We got up and looked out and were very excited to see a Momma Bear and her Baby. We can't stop looking at the video over and over again. We also got to see the Full Moon come up over the Mountain behind the house. Beautiful. We enjoyed Dinner at the Condor Cafe and we cannot say enough great things about La Lena Mexican restaurant. The food is fabulous with great variety and reasonable prices. Kristin was very accessible during our visit. I highly recommend the Star House for a relaxing stay.

My kids and I had a two-night stay in September 2022 and had a great time. This three-storey house has so many cool and quirky spaces. Upstairs has two twin beds, a sitting area and small desk. The middle floor has a bedroom and living room/kitchen. Downstairs has a Japanese-inspired bedroom and living room with a table where you can seat six comfortably. You could easily sleep 8 people in the house if you move a bit of furniture. There are two fireplaces, though we didn’t use them. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. There’s a large deck on the second level with a long table and chaise lounges where we spent most of our time. The area is quiet except for the birds chirping. It was just what we needed after the week-long heatwave in LA. The owner was very helpful. I highly recommend this place.
