The Saguaro Palm Springs

2/10 Terrible

"I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The property is run down and does not match the experience you would expect for the price. The pool water was dirty, the bedding looked old and worn, and the carpets throughout the hotel were stained and unclean. During our stay, the electricity went out, which made the experience unbearable in the extreme Palm Springs heat. The gym was also disappointing it is outdated and only has a handful of machines, offering very limited workout options. To make matters worse, the hotel charged me a $329 smoking and cleaning fee. No one in our party smokes, and we did not leave the room in poor condition. In fact, we had previously requested housekeeping service, but our room was never cleaned during our stay. Overall, between the poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, power outage, and what I believe to be an unjustified charge, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others."

"Staff that checked is in super late the first night was awesome even though the system had gone down just before we got there. Next day after returning from enjoying the town, my door was open and we went to the front desk and that employee: 1) didn’t have a name tag on, 2) had an attitude while talking to me and my sister, 3) she looked like she was wearing pjs and just woke up, and 4) stated if she couldn’t get to our request management would. We never heard back from anyone. I’m just lucky none of my stuff was missing. I’d recommend other visitors to triple check their doors before leaving for the day. Also, the bathtub was peeling…. Hands down though the employee from the first night was awesome."
