"The room was roomy and comfortable. The hotel is outdated and needs to be remodeled. We came during the 100 year storm so many things were closed. The restaurants in the hotel and nearby are wonderful."
"My family of 7 plus our little dog had a great time at the Outrigger in Kona. 2 nights werent enough though. Pools are family friendly, rooms were clean and the staff a super friendly and helpful."
"The breakfast food was healthy and good. The bathroom facilities are quaint - toilet and shower in one space - outside the room. Watch for a frog in the toilet! It did have an ocean view from the dining area. Very fun place if you're into alternative lifestyles. Enjoyed seeing the outdoor areas - garden, illuminarium, paths, many neat plants and trees. The frog and geko chorus at night would have kept me awake if I didn't use ear plugs. Good experience for one night! "

"We were welcomed to the big island during a record breaking Kona low storm. Dan was in communication regularly to be sure we were ok and brought extra towels. We had a great trip and the house was fantastic. "
Spacious, Luxurious, Tropical Townhouse Style Condo For A Truly Aloha Vacation
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice property. And very clean, which is always appreciated. Also, both bedrooms ((each with their own bathroom)) were located on the main level. So not having to drag your luggage up a flight to get unpacked is A BIG PLUS. Unit is very nicely appointed with everything you need and might forget. ((For us, that was umbrellas.)). Yeah, pool floaties, snorkeling gear and flippers….. on and on. If you have it at home, then they probably have it there. And if not sure, just Text them and ask ! Super fast and kind communication through out our stay. Free covered parking near the unit to keep your car cool and dry. Walking distance to the Keahou bay beach park and marina. So convenient for our morning snorkeling excursion aboard the Fairwinds, out to Captain Cook’s bay, and our nighttime snorkeling event with the Manta Rays. VERY cool. You will enjoy your stay. We certainly did. Aloha "
"Our stay at Hale Kai was absolutely incredible. The view of the water is breathtaking, and falling asleep each night to the sound of waves crashing against the shore was like a natural lullaby. The sunsets were truly spectacular—something we looked forward to every evening. One of our favorite parts of the home was the lanai (Hawaiian-style porch). We spent most of our time there when we weren’t out exploring the island. It was covered, which kept us cool and protected from the sun, and the constant ocean breeze made it the perfect place to relax. We even saw dolphins and whales passing by while sitting out there—such an unforgettable experience! The home itself was perfect for our group of six. The rooms were comfortable and well laid out, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We didn’t use the pool much (just dipped our legs in), but it would be a great option on a hotter day.We also enjoyed exploring the coastline right outside the property, and even had the unique experience of getting fresh-caught fish from a nearby neighbor. The house had great extras like beach chairs, which we used for a day trip and kayaks that we didn't get the chance to use.Mike was fantastic—great communication and he gave us excellent tips on what to see and exactly how to get there, which made our trip even better. If we could have stayed longer, we absolutely would have. We will definitely be back if this place is available again!"
