"Our street side first level room was appreciated for not requiring us to haul heavy luggage up steps. Convenience to historical sights, cafes and the fish market is a key reason to stay here. The owner was very communicative and willing to help if needed. Nightlife is noisy in Catania, but we slept well despite the noise. "The property is in a residential area. Big gate and on the post , a small signage of the hotel’s name. We spoke to someone on the intercom at the gate, the gate then opens. The property has a rustic charm. Some reviews we’ve read mentioned that the property needs renovation or updates. We think they don’t, it’s part of the charm (for us anyway, who are just visiting Italy). We only stayed for one night so didn’t get to use their swimming pool but it looks okay and romantic in the evening....
