Beautiful Apartment with Fantastic View!
The apartment is beautifully styled and very comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Every window has a sea view and the wide deck was great for watching the waves roll in. The beach is only minutes from the property. Jan's welcome goodies were greatly appreciated. We thank Jan and David for the opportunity to enjoy Raumati South.

What a lovely property!
First, Doug and Jan were so welcoming, and they made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The place is lovely, and I could have spent forever sitting on the deck and looking at the sea. I have to say I think this is the best vacation rental I've stayed at in years!

Amazing stay
Jan and Doug’s place is an absolute delight. It’s perfectly located to strolls down on the beach and walks up to support the local cafes. The apartment has everything you need, it’s really comfortable and has all those little touches that make it feel Ike you are truly on holiday. Fantastic hosts and property location, with great amenities. The weather wasnt great but that wasn't a bad thing as we really got to enjoy the apartment and have a very relaxing weekend! Would definitely love to stay again!

Fabulous property, it has everything you could want, including bubbles ,beer, cheese and crackers on arrival! . The view over the ocean from every window and the amazing deck is one in a million!! The drive up and backing down is a challenge, but nothing that can't be done. Well worth it 👌 Doug and Jan the hosts, were very welcoming and there to help with anything.

Peace and Quiet
Absolutely stunning view of Kapiti island and top of South island. Even when it rained it was still great to watch the sea. Very clean and cozy. Comfy bed and good shower. Nice touch was welcome gift of wine, beer and cheese and crackers. Doug's chutney very yummy. Wonderful walkway along the beach and good cafes close by.Hope to return in summer as too cold to enjoy the deck.

Shangri La

Just perfection. From the wine and cheese on arrival to an immaculate sunset. Sun, walks, swims, lazy days and fine relaxed food within strolling distance made the location wonderful. The space was spotless, beautiful linen and we felt absolutely in our own private bubble. Our hosts were approachable, kind, friendly but left us to it. We’ll be back - absolutely. Thank you both.

Great views & a lovely well equiped property
We really enjoyed our stay in Raumati South. The property was very clean, well presented and equipped with everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Our teenage son was particularly pleased there was a dishwasher ;) Wonderful views from the deck and it was a short walk to the local cafes, fish & chip shop and convenience store. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, we recommend this property!

Paradise with a bird's eye view
We absolutely loved our stay at Paraparaumu. From our online dealings with Doug and Jan to the warm reception we received when we arrived. The place itself has spectacular views and is very well-located near the beach, a park with walking and cycling trails and a small drive to the delightful township. We visited Kapiti Island which we also highly recommend and even took a train trip down to Wellington for the day which avoided any traffic and parking worries. The cheese and wine on arrival was a thoughtful touch. A big thankyou to our hosts Jan & Doug. We highly recommend D & J's Coastal Secret.

A wonderful getaway/retreat which exceeded our expectations.
This comfortable, warm & immaculately presented property offers sensational views across an ever changing seascape, in close proximity to Kapiti Coast attractions. Arriving to a blue sky by day, dramatic electrical storm by night and welcome cheese platter, complete with absolutely delicious home made chutney, we could not have asked for more ! Beautiful spot, tucked away but close to the beach, and biking/walking trails, and a few minutes walk from the nearest shops. Facing the sea, you get a wonderful view of the sun sinking into the ocean. Very clean, lovely extras like tea, coffee and milk and cereals.

A fabulous place to stay.
We loved staying here . Jan and Doug were great hosts. We were made to feel welcome from our first contact. They had thought of everything including special treats on arrival. A wonderful place to relax and unwind with panoramic views. The only not so relaxing bit was reversing down the drive but we took it slowly and made it without a problem.

Really enjoyed my stay at Doug and Jan's place. Lovely people, very welcoming and friendly, was even treated to a beverage, cheese and crackers ready for me in the unit. The location is fantastic, the unit was lovely and clean, had everything i needed, the views are amazing, the beach across the road, was a really comfortable stay. A little slice of paradise
We had a fabulous week at D&J's coastal secret apartment. The views and the sunsets are stunning. The little apartment is a home away from home and D&J's attention to detail and thoughtful touches made it really special. Crackers and cheese and D's special relish with a glass of wine and a beer was lovely. The apartment was spotless and the bed really comfy- we will definitely be visiting again.

Relaxation in Raumati
Great getaway property over New Years for my wife, teenage son and myself. The owners were really easy to make arrangements with and very friendly. The driveway is a challenge at first, but the view from the deck and apartment were well worth the journey.

Absolutely wonderful
We loved our stay at Jan and Doug’s apartment! Just perfect! Beautiful setting, incredible deck with a view of the sea and Kapiti Island, and the lovely modern apartment itself. Fantastic spacious bathroom too! And we so appreciated the cheeses and wine/beer when we arrived. So thoughtful. Jan and Doug are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed meeting them. This is the perfect place to stay on the Kapiti coast, especially for a couple. Look so forward to returning in the future.
