Parking with cargo carrier was not available. We were only told on arrival that we had to park elsewhere and had to wait until later for the lot to empty. The water was only lukewarm- took 15 mins running ALL taps for it to be hot enough for shower.The concierge Josh,and maintenance staff ,Steve, however, more than made up for these major inconveniences with their prompt and attentive responses and a room upgrade.

This was a special trip for my husband and I as it was only the second time we have even gone away as just mom and dad since having our daughter two years ago. reStays in Ottawa did not disappoint. We easily found the parking garage connected to the hotel which was so convenient. Checking in was a breeze. Every single person who works at the front desk is immensely kind and helpful. We got to our room and I was confused because it wasn't what I had booked. Renee (I think that was her name, she was so sweet and wonderful) called our room to let me know they had upgraded us to their one bedroom penthouse for our special occasion!! Our jaws were on the ground. We could not believe the incredible hospitality they showed us. This was exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect. The room had everything you could ever need - washer and dryer (they even supply laundry pods), espresso maker, dishwasher, oven, etc. It was the perfect place for a getaway. The air conditioning worked great! The private terrace was so lovely and perfect for enjoying the last of the sun's rays in the evening. I'm a bit of a sound freak and it was so quiet in the room especially at night which is what matters most to me. This hotel was walking distance to so many places to eat and places to visit. We absolutely loved our stay here and I would highly recommend reStays to everyone. Even without the incredibly generous upgrade, we would still return to this hotel if we ever come back to Ottawa.
