Dated, sad, lonely and creepy hotel in Dunedin. Ugly on the outside & ugly on the inside. I choose this because of the good reviews but I honestly don’t know how they got them. The ONLY reason to choose this hotel is that the cost is A LOT less than anything else you can find and the location is what you want, because my experience is that it extremely dated with carpet and furniture from the 1980’s, never updated, unfriendly staff, and extra charges for everything from parking (in an unsecured parking area which is difficult to park) and an extra child who was not going to use water or make any difference. I never saw anyone in the restaurant or bar, I can’t imagine it’s very good. Broken glass in the hallways, my shower wasn’t clean (hair that wasn’t mine on the shower stall -yuck) , “Delux King” was basically a basic small hotel room, coffee in the room was bad. After booking in here, we moved to another hotel which did not charge for parking or extra children but provided a kitchen and free washing and much nicer amenities for basically the same price.

I was a little surprised I had to pay to park my vehicle. I can understand it but a little notice would have been good

Central location close to shops & restaurants. Sadly our room was extremely noisy on the corner of two really busy roads, no double glazing. Carpets where dirty and could do with a professional clean. Otherwise fine.
