"Really nice bear garden to relax after a long days work, great local beers. The staff are absolutely amazing, go above and beyond. I visited on a business trip, having to leave early each day at 7am, thus missing breakfast. When the bar staff heard this, they arranged for a breakfast to go for me each morning. I thought this was a great touch, couldn’t ask for anymore. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, suck an enjoyable stay. The location has such character, floorboards creak, you name it but I’d definitely recommend 100%!!!"

"We are an elderly couple & had a four hour journey through difficult weather. A staff member happened to be outside when we arrived & unasked, helped with parking, unloaded our luggage & took it to our room. On registering we were invited to rest in the lounge, served tea & assisted with telephoning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast excellent. All the staff were well turned out, friendly & helpful. On departure our luggage was carried from our room & placed in our car. "

"This was a stay en route to Cornwall. We’ve stayed a few times before. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and breakfast though I feel a few cut-backs have been applied which aren’t what we expected of this quality of hotel. A couple of other issues were instantly addressed."

"Fabulous house ,photos don't do it justice,suitable for all ages,vast array of amenities,pool and hot tub well used and enjoyed BBQ outside ,take a hairdryer with you tho as only thing I couldn't find .would highly recommend,seems expensive but not for you have , communication with booking site and hosts was excellent too , perfect location but be aware satnav takes you slightly off ,we missed the driveway twice lol ,we as a large party will definitely go back ."
