Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf

10/10 Excellent

"We chose Riu San Francisco due to the location near to the pick-up/drop-off for planned tours and that worked very well. The room was clean and housekeeping kept it clean during our 5-night stay. The rooms were a bit noisy and not well insulated for sound. The touristy neighborhood around the hotel was dirty…. not the fault of Riu because their areas were very clean, but once you leave the hotel, not so much. The very best part of our stay was the breakfast buffet that we enjoyed every morning! Lots of choices and very fresh and delicious!"

"The staff has a good customer service skills like Mona, Jennifer, & the other pilipino lady with glasses. They always got people cleaning, making sure the property is clean. When I use to order foods for delivery, they always call me & let me know that my orders arrived. Even if there were times there were spiders & WiFi isn't excellent, I like this property. There are cats around there which is ok because I love cats & it's by the water as well I just like the location because it's by the water & the sound of the airplane is relaxing. Even if there's no street lights by the golf course or before you even enter, I still like this location, but most of all, great customers service"

"Great stay and location. Staff are as friendly as they get paid for (bit doing anything extra friendly for free lol which is fine) and at some point the fire alarm went off but no one made sure everyone was out. They just closed the door (not lock) where the elevator was. I took the elevator and then exited out the emergency door loool but I didn’t know anything was going on so that was my only gripe. So good for solo travel! Felt safe, all that jazz."
