Location fantastic, staff the same, everything great

A lovely surprise to find this historical hidden gem in a quiet location with a rural outlook. Our host Julie was friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this accommodation.

Staff kindly upgraded our room. Had a lovely balcony with view over fields. Room was fabulous. Clean and comfortable- bathroom seemed new and shower was amazing. Really loved the hotel and wished we were staying longer. Also on uni campus where our son residing so very convenient.

We are returning guests. Great location, hotel, staff very friendly, efficient and helpful, ample parking and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again :)

The most AMAZING place we have stayed in our 3 months in the UK. SUPER CLEAN room , thoughtful amenities, Wonderful Bed , Excellent Breakfast. We could not fault this Lovely hotel. Thanks Carol and Peter.

Our room was clean and comfortable with all we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had variety of options. Well located, 15 min walk up to castle area.

Central location excellent and all that you'd want for a short stay break. Good food range & bar good although could fo with a decent British bitter on tap Minor complaint was the lack of shower water pressure

What a lovely place tonstay. We were here for 5 nights from Australia ti spend time with our friends . The room was very comfortable and spacious. Plenty if tea and coffee amenities. The pub is also very nice we had lunches and dinners there could not fault it at all. The staff are all really lovley

Lovely stay, great staff.

Couple of teething issues, with door cards not working, and going back and forwards between hotels. The cleaning lady was lovely and friendly. Can get a little noisy from street noise later in the week, but nothing ear plugs didnt help with. Over all great location, as everything is on your doorstep or a,short walk. Was lovely seeing the castle lit up at night.

Lovely room Well equipped and comfortable My stay was short because of my schedule, but if I am in the area again I would choose to stay at the same place Parking is a public lot right behind the hotel Hotel is right in the centre of town Staff were very helpful over the phone and gave instructions and useful information which assisted me getting where I needed to be in time

Excellent spot with all the convenience of the bar and restaurant and close by options too. Breakfast was just right. All staff were brilliant.
