It was a little out of the village than I realised when first booked but was okay except the road noise from cars as road at front is quite busy thankfully at night much better. "This worked out great for our family. We spent most of our time in nearby Bishop’s Stortford with family. For rest, morning coffee and winding down in the evening, this place was perfect. It was clean and quiet, the mornings and evenings were cool and calm, very relaxing. Our room was huge, with a big comfy bed, a fridge, sofa, tea/coffee making facilities and a lovely en-suite shower room. Plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. "Lovely old cottage, furnished well with a nice kitchen having everything you need for eating in (except for a sieve or collander). Clay tiles on ground floor make the floor cold so bring slippers in low season. Some very low beams so tall people beware. Couldn't light the gas fire though. Surprised to find slow-moving bees on window sills or on floor each day when returning from day out."
