All of the staff were absolutely fantastic very accommodating and lovely. The motel was run down and the bathroom smelled of septic. The elevator was next to my room and was extremely noisy.

Don’t Bother
Paid premium price to visit mother in hospital thanks to Taylor Swift and got ho hum experience for my trouble. No wine glasses. Was not told breakfast finishes at 9am Sunday, so went hungry. Walked back to hotel in early evening from city Saturday up Flemington Rd, had to dodge the drug addicts having moments. No arrival package, nor freebies either for my $650!!!

The variety of food choices for the buffet breakfast was very generous.(cold and hot), and lady in charge of the buffet breakfast was extremely helpful and friendly. All the staff that I encountered in reception were also friendly and helpful. The only negative experience - there were strands of dark hair in the shower/bath (I have light coloured hair).

Disappointing and overpriced
626 plus 50 parking for Thursday & Friday night so I was expecting more. Room badly needs refurbishing , shower recess was the worst, all cracked on the floor, cracked window and not clean. Bed was hard, not comfy.

Comfortable stay at Mercure North Melbourne
I enjoyed my recent 3-night stay at Mercure North Melbourne. The hotel is very conveniently located across the road from the major hospitals and within easy walking distance to the 58/59 tramline. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room, although a bit worn, was cleaned to a high standard with all the usual amenities available. The in-room wifi worked well. A comfortable stay and I would look at staying here again if needing to return to North melbourne for work.

The room was cold, with no electric blankets and no extra blankets / decent doona, no power point near the bed (for phone recharging), heater was noisy. Hair in the bathroom sink (not ours). Service was friendly, but place is old and tired.

The property staff were very nice, though the beds are hard as a rock and shower temp constantly changing as u shower, food at the breakfast could have been better, and heater nearly works

Unfortunately they were very under staffed so we had to wait for service. Convenient location and the food was really good. Room was comfortable and a good size, however it does need some maintenance, peeling paint and ventilation issues.

Lift is super noisy and kept me awake. Lack of good lighting in the room and only one PowerPoint. None near the bed. Carpet in hall horribly lumpy like been flooded. Wasn’t aware parking fee and $25 excessive.

Great location, on-site parking and spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great price. The building itself is tired and little rundown with works needing to be done but you can if you can look past this it’s a great find for visiting the city!
