"this was my second stay at the Bluebird Motel, great location, clean and quiet"

"Great location situated between Cutler and Machias, with beautiful vista from the porch. Shopping, restaurants and amazing hiking trails within 10-20 minute drives. We had perfect weather for our stay and enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the lobster boats. The house is as described and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our 6 night stay, although we found the mattresses to be pretty uncomfortable. We only cooked breakfast, but there was a good array of pots, pans, and dishes, etc. We bought water, as the water from the spigot had a very distinct taste and smell (although potable). Communication was prompt and responsive. "

"The house was exactly as described, clean, and well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the wildlife in the lake. Excellent place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed the many state parks that are about a 30 minute drive from the house."

"If you are not a morning person, a stay at Lubec Cottage will make you one. Waking up to the sunrise outside the french doors of the master bedroom is just stunning! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for — quiet, relaxing, and much needed de-stressing. Hiking trails are 10-20 minutes drive away. Cottage amenities are well thought out and was much appreciated. Take time to read some of the framed items (ie article by front door, letters found when remodeling in master br).Note: If you’re a chocolate lover, stop by Monica’s Chocolates only 1.3 miles away from cottage!"

"It is a wonderful place for nature, wildlife, and relaxation. The local town and area is great to explore and there are plenty of hiking trails to explore. I highly recommend this place. In addition, the hosts' attention to details shows in how the place is arranged and accommodated: lots of little settle touches that make you comfortable and "vacationy"! "
