"We loved our stay at Troy's place! It was as described in the listing and, if anything, surpassed expectations with all of the natural light inside. We traveled around a bit to some different trails and beaches which were all relatively close by."

"I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself.If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!"

"This was a wonderful place. Immaculate. Thoughtfully furnished. Even the books on the bookshelf were great. And the games and the poster about the moose and the fire ring! This was our seventh trip to Maine and the first trip for my brother and his wife. We took them to see all our favorites, Bass Harbor, Thuya Garden, Tinder Hearth Bakery, Stonington, Fort Knox, Acadia, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, the Wooden Boat School and more. I asked my husband what his favorite spot had been. He paused and said, "It may have been just sitting around the VRBO." It is simply perfect."
