Gardner Lake Home: Amazing views private and quiet 150' of private frontage

10/10 Excellent
"The camp was bright and clean with modern amenities. Beautiful view over the lake from the home. The lake was so peaceful accessible down over some rocks. Once there the water was warm , clear and perfect for swimming from beach or dock. The Deck and patio were well designed for enjoying the peaceful retreat. Our host was welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend for families and couples, particularly those traveling with pets as the home, small enclosed yard and deck were secure and generous."

Bear Mountain Lodge

Bear Mountain Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Don't miss this place. You take a dirt road into the forest but well worth it when you get there(make sure to arrive before dark). The Lodge is beautiful and the hosts Josh and his wife Vianca are fantastic. There isn't a restaurant on site but bring you own groceries there are 2 fabulous kitchens for you to use, plus a BBQ grill. There is exercise equipment, a pool table and a hot tub, and many other things for you or the kids to use. If you rent the Moose room you even have a hot tub in your room-it was great. This is a great place for a romantic get away, plenty for kids to do, or for a wedding and reception(rent the whole place). All spaces super clean. Access to the lake with all the water toys you might need, ATV and snowmobile trails. Wished I had booked more than 1 night, if we are back in the area again will definitely stay a while. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Jim And Sarah Anderson -Kyle, Texas"

Machias River Inn

Machias River Inn

10/10 Excellent
"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"

"This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The house has everything you need and the views are absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being close enough to town for dinner or a coffee. We absolutely love staying here, and it’s an added bonus that our dog gets to enjoy it with us too. We can’t wait to come back!"
