The facility is beautiful as are the grounds. Its 15 acres are a true oasis in the middle of busy Shanghai. The rooms are large with everything you could possibly want. The staff and bell staff are also very good, however, the waitstaff could be a little more proactive and speak a little bit better English. Still, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent value for money. Location is central - short walk to Nanjing and Huai Hai Rds. Access to a proper gym upstairs is fantastic for those who dislike those tiny hotel gym facilities. Breakfast buffet is great although the options for room service meals could be expanded. Room size and sound proofing is good (I stayed in the executive rooms on level 18) Overall, I would recommend.
Great facilities make this an ideal destination hotel.
Had to be confined to the premises during the Typhoon.
Great gym with a great pool.
Great restaurants with good food.
Great bar on the 28th floor called Bar Yu.

The celebrated tree-lined Huaihai Road gives the district of Luwan a distinctly stylish feel. Just south of People’s Square, it features upscale fashion boutiques, restaurants, and department stores such as Isetan and Parkson. Try Xiang Yang Nan Lu street market for cheaper clothes and accessories and Julu Road for Western-style dining. Xintiandi is a popular nightlife area.
