- Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I booked this hotel because it claimed to be within walking distance of the airport and we had 8 hours overnight to kill after a long flight from the eastern US before an early morning transport (and there is no facility at the airport to stay overnight). It is within walking distance, but all up a series of steep hills and you have to transport your luggage - up stairs, across roads and then up a long very steep driveway, after which you can haul your bags up another flight of stairs, through a gate and into the motel. Advice on the walking if you stay here - take a cab instead. Once inside (and it was a very hot humid July night), we checked in... hauled our bags up more stairs to the elevator and went to our room where we found the air conditioning didn't work. We asked the front desk to look into it and they just told us how to use the AC remote (which we already had). No offer to move us to another room with working AC or to send someone up to look at our unit. So we sweated through a very long night and got up 2 hours earlier than we needed to so we could sit in the cool air conditioned lobby until our cab came at 5 a.m. If you need a convenient place to stay near the airport, catch a cab and head to the Intercontinental - only 5 minutes away.
