Great environment with Pisa, the beaches of Viareggio, beautiful and lively Lucca, Prato and Carrara nearby. From La Spezia hop on/hop off with a ferry to Cinque Terre. Florence/Sienna 75 min. Beware off the green zone policy of the citys when you visit them by car, you might get some unpleasant...
