It was wonderful to stay in such a historical residence with beautiful frescoes in the breakfast room. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful selection of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereal, yogurt and cut up melons and pineapple. I highly recommend this accommodation and hope to return in the future!"

"The moment we arrived Francesco greeted us warmly. The room was clean, quiet and had a lovely terrace we could enjoy along with onsite parking. The pool while unheated was a great place to relax at. "We booked hotel Rex last minute so we could just wake up and hop on the train in Lucca. It had everything we needed but no extras. I would only spend one night here. Breakfast was extremely basic and needed to get better coffee at the cafe across the street. But over all room was clean and quiet."
