It was heavenly. Perfectly located in the centre of town and close to everything. The room possessed the charm of the old building but with modern luxuries. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast set you up for the day. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit.

We loved our stay at the hotel. From the team who checked us in to dinner service we had impeccable service. The hotel is comfortable and well appointed. It is close to all of the historic sites and the waterfront. It was very relaxing and highly recommended staying here.

We had a comfortable stay, and the location was very convenient for exploring the city. Although the room wasn't particularly large, it had been recently renovated, featured a double bed, and was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay. This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. Great location, plenty of car park space within the property. Our room was on the 2nd floor, stairs only. Lovely, comfy room, clean, good size bathroom with shower. Dinner was great in the restaurant. Breakfast had cereal at buffet, then order cooked from menu. Good meals. Great staff, friendly, good history of hotel with links to JW Lees. We had two nights, happy to stay here again.

Loved it, beautiful room, great restaurant and away from busy Betws-y-coed so easy parking and right next to the falls.

The Slate was a great find. It is a small establishment with a small number of rooms, a bar and restaurant. It is quite new and in excellent condition set in a very green, quite location. I found the room to be very comfortable and well-furnished but the highlight would have to be the bar with its friendly staff and guests and a good selection of beers, wines etc, and truly excellent food. Thoroughly recommended!

We stayed here for 2 nights, we wish we'd booked for longer on our trip around Wales. Great central location for trips to Conwy, Anglesey, Caernafon, Zip World & Eryri National Park. The included breakfast was good and our room was absolutely beautiful and very spacious with lovely views. The windows all open wide so plenty of fresh air. Not in the middle of Abergele, but better. Small village with a great walk, creek an countryside on the doorstep. Only a short and easy drive to the lovely scenic attractions in the area. Highly recommend staying here. I think the property is about to change hands....
