Lovely hotel with excellent lodge rooms too. Lovely bar and restaurant area, serving a very good menu. On-site leisure club is very good and has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. A lovely hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food in the bar was excellent with good service. Easy walking distance to a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely relaxing spa facilities after a day out walking. Good central location for walkers. Accomodation was comfortable and clean. Would give it a higher rating than 3 star. I stayed in one of the lodges at the back of the hotel, which is fully refurbished, spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. Each lodge also has its own parking space right outside the front door. The hotel facilities make it feel more like a 4 star hotel. It has an impressive gym and pool/spa, the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is cooked to order. Also great service from all the staff.
