"Driftwood Beachhouse is perfectly located to enjoy fresh air, birdsong and peace and quiet. Jez was a great host, really friendly and accommodating, giving us helpful local advice and getting the hot tub ready each evening. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms and outside spaces are really charming, decorated with character and you feel at home. Highly recommended!"

I had the vegetarian breakfast and was so impressed at how fresh all the ingredients were and that the chef cooked the veggie sausages to perfection………..most breakfast chefs seem to cremate them! "We stayed here before and after our wedding and found the entire experience was superb. The room was clean, well furnished with good extras e.g. tea/coffee facilities (including nice biscuits!). The shower was fantastic which is one thing I feel often lets other hotels down, so this one was a win for us! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and added extra touches to help us celebrate. The cooked breakfast was faultless and overall I would happily return here."

"One of the best b and b’s we’ve ever stayed in. Great location, we could actually see the sea from our room although it’s not a seafront location. Our room was huge, with a big comfy bed, a fridge, sofa, tea/coffee making facilities and a lovely en-suite shower room. Plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. "The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area."
