"Great hotel in a prime location. Edinburg has lots of slope and difficult to park and drive so you want a hotel close to your sightseeing spot so that you can walk comfortably. Important for family with small child and elderly. Would stay here again if I need to be in the old town of Edinburg."

"The Apex was in a good location, with everything within walking distance. Bus stops within a few minutes walk. Waverley station about 13 mins walk. The hotel room was spacious, clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of hot & cold choice. The staff members were very helpful. I would consider staying here again when I am next visiting Edinburgh. "

"The hotel is dated but despite this is very comfortable and very clean the staff are very pleasant and helpful our room was a good size although the bathroom was very small we could not both fit in at one time so tooth brushing was done separately. The breakfast was plently to choose from with a quality coffee and quality fruit all the hot food was hot and quickly replenish "

"We stayed one night at the Leonardo. We booked it for our last day/night in Edinburgh after a lovely tour of the Highlands. We booked there as it was in still close to the Royal Mile but its location made it easier easier to get a taxi to the airport after turning in our rental. 1. When we checked in we were informed our room was actually in the next building. We were told we could take the regular elevator or walk through a connected hallway on the ground level and take another elevator that served those rooms. We tried to take the first elevator. We couldn’t stop on the 4th floor where our room was. So, after several rides up and down, that opened up on other floors we got out and trekked down the “ hallway to the other elevator. The hallway was stark white. There was a grumpy man painting and it smelled terrible. We passed some restrooms and I think the smell was coming from there. It permeated the hallway. When we found the small elevator that serviced these other rooms, we made it to the "

"Room was disappointing at best - stick is in a handicap room with a view of the air units and a bunch of garbage on the roof - literally right outside the window. Table in the room was bent and sloping. Staff was mixed, some were great, others could have been better at explaining things - such as how to get down to the train station via the lift instead of walking multiple flights of stairs with luggage. We asked 3 different staff and got 3 different sets of instructions- none of which were sufficient on their own. Then there’s the lift situation - ONLY 1 working lift. Location is great though, but multiple other options around. "
