The owner, Frank, bent over backwards to make sure of our comfort. Very friendly. Everything easy. After some of the places we’ve been in, it was just what we needed to unwind. Highly recommend.

Great hotel!

A very nice traditional hotel, spacious, comfortable with friendly staff.

It was lovely staying at a property that is also a working farm and the location was so picturesque even though it was only a few minutes drive from the main road. The Farmhouse was very clean and welcoming and the breakfast was great. The owner made some fantastic suggestions for sightseeing and places to eat for dinner so overall it was a great stay and I would be happy to go back.

Wonderful property - had a lovely stay.

Great lodgings for a night on our road trip through Scotland. Excellent service and dinner options available. Would stay again.

The prefect stay. Staff were very friendly, the room and public areas were spotless. The bar and meal service was fantastic and the quality of food was excellent. A beautiful building, a lovely place!! 10 out of 10

Very nice stay great breakfast , excellent staff

Cannot highly recommend this hotel enough, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, from the gentleman who met us at the door at 1:00am and carried our bags to the room to the girls who served us breakfast. The room was fabulous and spotlessly clean and continued throughout our stay. We will definitely be back when we can and will bring some more friends with us, thank you.

Excellent breakfast. Spacious room. Nice staff.

Large property with a spacious light room. Large breakfast buffet included in room rate which was very good value. Perfect location on your way to or from the Isle of Arran and the Ardrossan ferry. Only 35 minute drive to Glasgow airport.

Not our most enjoyable stay at the Gailes unfortunately. This time round majority of the staff seemed miserable and we felt we were an inconvenience until our last morning when the staff at breakfast were a delight. We ended up with extremely noisy people (we think they had friends from other rooms continue post wedding that was held there for drinks next to us), credit I did call staff and it seemed to quieten down half hour later. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off which we have no...

Great place.

Great location, room and everything else. And the daily chocolate wafer treat…

A beautiful hotel to stay in. Room 2, in the mansion. Spacious and so comfortable. Dinner choices were excellent and staff were so friendly. A wonderful stay❤️

What a great place. The room we had was large and comfortable, with a view of a beautiful old church across the road as well as a view of the manicured gardens. The dining area is large with an atmosphere of good old Scottish service with an abundance of fresh food and drinks. The streets around the hotel make for a good walk and are lined with a mass of stunning trees and mansions to take your breath away. There is also a beautiful park near by. Friendly staff were the icing on the cake. We'll...

I really liked this hotel. I didn’t notice any major issues, and overall it felt well run and comfortable. The location is excellent, with about a five-minute walk to the central station, around ten minutes to Queen Street station, and a subway nearby, so getting around is extremely convenient. The quality is very good. It’s clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The setup seems to combine hotel guests and students, but it didn’t cause any problems, and everyone seemed...
