"Hako Riero was wonderful. It was clean, stylish and very high tech. It had a 7 eleven in walking distance and very close to the Hakkne-Yumoto train station. I would absolutely stay here again.

"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."
"Nice quiet neighborhood tucked on top of a hill. Place was clean, modern and well stocked and convenient to Hakone-Yumoto station (10 min walk). Recommend!"
"The package included the dinner and breakfast (Kaiseki style), the foods are delicious and served very well. The front desk staff explains very detailed about the facilities. "
"Very nice place for vacation, clean and spacious. It’s raining so we couldn’t enjoy in balcony.
Also very nice bath tub! Very good maintenance, things like new."
"Property was very comfortable. It's close to some onsens and public transport. The house is old and there are some damages, but other than that there were very little issues."

"Yusakaso understands Japanese hospitality to a T! This was my boyfriend and I's first time to a ryokan, but we were readily accepted and treated like royalty. The food at this ryokan is exceptional. Super clean rooms with well cared for tatami, with great views into the surrounding plants/garden.
The onsens themselves were incredible. The private onsen is a perfect amount of space, with rolling windows/doors that can make it an open air experience if desired. The public onsen was also gorgeous-- however, a slight warning to those who have never been in an onsen. We *did* have another couple staying at the ryokan, using the communal onsen with us, who were doing inappropriate activities in the water (if you catch my drift). However, this is in no way the ryokan's fault and can't really be helped.

"We stayed for one night at Aura Tachibana, and our arrival from Osaka was unfortunately delayed by 3 hours due to a tsunami but we informed the hotel ahead of time and they were very accommodating.
The kaiseki dinner was amazing, so much food and beautifully presented. It was served in the restaurant (not in the rooms) with a lovely view of the mountains.
Our room had a private onsen which was great to have"
"We had a great time at hotel Okada, especially at the onsen. The beds were comfortable and the food was good. A fun experience was the kimono, yukata and slippers they provided for you to borrow. Good shuttle service too."
