"Very nice, safe property. We actually ended up staying at another property through the same owners. Maintenance was being done at property. Very happy with communication! Property was clean and welcoming. Would recommend!"

"There was a medium size cockroach inside the bathing tub and it was very stubborn to get rid of it. The front office lady blabbered something in her own accent was very hard to follow. Parking was a nightmare. You should know some gymnastics and know how to come out of the car after you parked in the tight spot. It's highly possible your car will get stuck and damaged. Good thing is it's nearer to the airport and restaurants. "

"The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a variety of fresh fruits picked from trees on the property, yogurt, and delicious baked goods baked fresh by the owner. Owners Stewart and Lori were excellent hosts -- very helpful and friendly, and they made the stay quite enjoyable. The room didn't have a/c but didn't need it. The B&B is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood just a few miles above Hilo. I highly recommend it!"

"We were in Hilo for two short nights to see and hike the volcanos. Rained the entire time, but we didn’t let that stop us. The house was perfect for our family. We truly just slept there, but it had everything needed to cook and relax. Good location. Approximately 45-50 minutes to the volcano and about 10-15 minutes to all shopping and dining in Hilo."

"First of all, this property is gorgeous and set up perfectly, not to mention the private hot tub! My husband and I booked Rivendell Oasis while in Hawaii for the Merrie Monarch Festival and it was nice to have a quiet place to go back to each day after being around a lot of people. It wasn’t so far from downtown to not be able to enjoy a quick meal when we wanted but we also got to enjoy the natural nighttime sounds instead of cars driving by. I loved to just sit outside and listen to the pond (and rain) while reading a book or just watching the lizards and birds.The lovely hosts have the property well stocked with kitchen gadgets for what we needed and more. Lastly, Simon was the sweetest kitty and I melted when he jumped up on my lap and took a nap!"

"Anthurium House is lovely! We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the sounds of the koki frogs, the hosts were wonderful and the house was the perfect size for the number of guests we had for the Merrie Monarch Festival! The outdoor shower was a treat!! And the kitchen was nice and big and became our gathering place! "
