Charming Historic Hilo House – Minutes to Beach!

"The house was a good size and at a decent location not far from downtown Hilo and on the way to Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. The house is a bit on the older side. Although it doesn’t have AC, we didn’t need it in early September as there are fans in every room and it cooled down at night. There is an invasive frog on Hawaii and it croaks really loudly at night so I recommend taking ear plugs or ear buds to wear. The property manager was very responsive whenever I contacted him."

"This house is BEYOND amazing. I've never stayed in a rental home that was so meticulously maintained - everything was gorgeous and high-end. We were unsure about renting a place in July with no air conditioning, but it actually just added to the experience to have the warmth and hear the birds and critters from the outside. Speaking of critters, we were introduced to the "coqui" frogs on the island - loud little guys, but super cute. Bring your earplugs at nighttime if repetitive sounds keep you awake. The backyard lights up in the evening (this house is a smart home with awesome features like cove lighting and backyard illumination) and truly makes you feel like you're in your own little rain forest."
Charming 3-bedroom home in Hilo town

"Our family enjoyed our stay at the Charming Hilo House. We were here only for 3 days and the house was centrally located to the shopping mall, market, and all the places we needed to be for our 2-day family events.The owner‘s brother greeted us when we arrived, and we chatted for a while. From the outside you couldn’t tell, but once you were inside, the home was very spacious, clean, and accommodated our family of 8 adults, 1 child & 2 infants. Love the large living room (A on Roku), kitchen/dining area and the 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms met all our needs. No air conditioning, but that was okay as the fans help and the coqui frogs also help put us to sleep. Love the fact that you had checked-out instructions, but what suggest you get new hampers. We certainly enjoyed our weekend at your Charming Hilo home!"

"My husband and I stayed here while exploring Hilo. It is a great location -- close to restaurants and attractions in town, and not too far from the botanical garden, waterfalls, and other area activities. The host was responsive to all communications and provided helpful information within the unit. We enjoyed our stay!"

"We loved our stay! The place was comfy, clean and airy, just as in the photos. It was nice to have a well equipped kitchen to save on eating out. All in all a delightful home away from home. Location is perfect, an easy walk to downtown and short drive to swimming beaches. We hope to stay here again on our next visit to the Big Island!"
