Outstanding unobstructed view of the ocean. The condo is well appointed and has everything we needed for 2 weeks. Spacious condo with updated kitchen. The bed is comfortable. The building is quiet. Breakfast and lunch sitting just above the breaking surf on a lovely balcony watching the waves in early morning and the sunsets through swaying palms. Then a short walk to dinner in Kona town or at one of the hotels or local hangouts along the way. Perfect Hawaii experience!The condo was nicely furnished and all kitchen necessities were there for us. The bed was so comfortable. And both my husband and I were asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. Parking is convenient. The pool is lovely, even though we took off for the beach every morning. We had the smallest of issues with some beach equipment, mentioned it in an email, and the owner was kind enough to make it perfect within 24 hours. Excellent communication, which means a lot these days!We look forward to our next visit!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. The condo was perfect for 3 people. It was well stocked and had the most magnificent ocean front views. Walking distance to Kona Village where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. Communication with Bill and the management company was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I can't say enough about how great the ocean view was. Beautiful sunsets right on the water with the sound of crashing waves. We spent every evening enjoying the sounds and sights of the water. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants without worrying about parking. The condo was as advertised. Bedroom and bathroom are small but serviceable with a nice big open great room and reasonable kitchen. There were plenty of beach toys and snorkeling gear. The owner and manager both checked in on our stay and were friendly and responsive. Overall, this condo is a good value, at least for Hawaii. The ocean view and location are unbeatable, and this was much less expensive than a hotel room far from the water. We will definitely try to stay here if we come back to Kona. Thanks for letting us stay!

A perfect oceanfront location, the ocean view is spectacular. Located on the south edge of town It’s top floor unit, so all you hear is the ocean. Also newly renovated, truly a wonderful place to relax. Restaurant and shops are easily within walking distance. Our favorite fir a very short walk was Huggo’s on the Rocks. Covered parking and a small beach on the south end of the complex.

We completely enjoyed our stay at this condo. The view off the balcony is perfect and the condo is completely remodeled and clean. We loved being able to walk into town for dinner. Parking was easy to find within the condo parking lots. Bill was very responsive to our emails prior to the trip as well as while we were in Hawaii. We would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at this condo with our two small children ages three and one. The condo was clean and well organized, had everything we needed in the kitchen. Internet and washer and dryer were in good working order. The view was incredible from the balcony. it was a very short walk to restaurants, doable with the small kids. The beach was right next-door, and the snorkeling in front of the condo was the best of anywhere on the big island that we went. Kids loved the pool. I would highly recommend and would stay again.

The location truly is THE best spot in the area - right on the water, highest floor. You can even hear the surf when the sliding door is closed! Property looks brand new - no sign of wear and tear. And the place was immaculate when we arrived - you could have literally eaten off the floor. You can walk just about anywhere for food, coffee, yoga, beach, sunrises, gifts, you name it. Both the owner and the rental company were amazing - great communication, immediate responses, no surprises. This is truly a gem on the island.

We had a great time and loved the view from the lanai. Just a couple items that we noticed needed fixing. The sliding door to the lanai would not lock/ the lock is broken. Master bedrooms closet had the wood pole to hang clothes on seemed to be broken on one side. I could still hang clothes on the left side of the closet, but just FYI. We loved the location, and condo was a great place to stay, kitchen was well equipped. Thank you!

My family enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing vacation at Bill and Annie's Kona Reef condo. It was the perfect home base for our first trip to the Big Island. The pictures don't do the condo justice. The condo looks brand new and immaculate, and was as clean as any 5-star hotel I've visited. The fantastic ocean-view is about as close to the ocean as you can possibly get. Forget about the partial "ocean-view" condos and treat your family to a real view. My son looked forward to the heated pool and spa every night. Parking for the condo was free and spots were easy to find. Many restaurants and bars are within a short 5-15 minute walk, so it was easy to find options for lunch and dinner.

Our #1 rule when renting a place is always to check the reviews. But this place had no reviews as it was new to market. Uh oh… We were wary but the photos/location were incredible, so we had to give it a 2nd look. We messaged the owners before booking and they responded immediately. Glad we checked into it because the condo and our stay was nothing short of magical. The owner and property managers checked in with us before and after our arrival to make sure nothing was needed (it wasn’t, they’ve thought of everything). What did we love? More than anything, the world class view. This is the best unit on site at the Kona Reef: center unit, top (4th) floor. It’s a short walk to their gorgeous pool with ocean view and clean propane barbecues. Boogie boarders are below (this beach is where the first boogie board was invented and used back in 1971) and watching them was great fun. We spent hours on the lanai drinking coffee, eating meals and watching the surf and world class sunsets. The lanai also has mirrors on both sides making the ocean view seem even bigger. As for the interior, the bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in - my wife looked for the mattress label to see if we could get the same one at home. New flooring, appliances, big sink and dishwasher made cooking and cleanup easy. Lots of parking too! It's also stocked with all the beach gear you'd need: umbrella, chairs, snorkels/fins and boogie boards. And on Ali'i Drive! Thank you — we loved it!!!

Paradise begins in Kona Reef A 34. Mahalo to our host Bill for taking such good care of us. The location can't be beat and this updated top floor, oceanfront unit is the perfect place to enjoy island life. From mornings, sitting on the lanai chair listening to the waves crash and then later on watching the most spectacular sunsets, this was more than we could have imagined for our first Kona visit. We loved the short walk to our new favorite Hawaiian beach town, Kailua-Kona and we can't wait to come back to Kona Reef A 34. Aloha until next time!

This condo was great. A nice location right on the ocean's edge, with great view of the beach next door as well as the surfer/boogie boarders in the water. The owners and rental mgmt checked in with us after we arrived, to see if we needed anything. Lots of extra amenities that help make a vacation even easier: drying line for wet clothes, filtered water container in the frig, tupperware in the kitchen, all the beach gear you'd need: umbrella, chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards. The bed was very comfortable. There was AC in both the bedroom and the main area, but we only turned on the bedroom AC once. We left the patio doors open at night and that kept the place nice and comfortable. And sat out on the lanai every morning and night. Very happy with our stay - highly recommend. Thanks!

Our stay at this condo was the perfect choice for us. It was clean, nicely decorated, had everything we needed, and the view was amazing. The ocean view was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the surfers and a few days the whales going by, even jumping out of the water. It was an easy walk to town was nice since they are now charging for parking. The communication with Bill and Annie was great! When we return to Kona, we will look to be sure this condo is available.
