Great view from our ocean-facing room. It was a cool night and they eqipped the room with an electric heater, so it was cozy. Breakfast provided several options for a continental service with tea and coffee in the room.

No instructions prior to check-in, finally found a note on the door to advise which room we were assigned (key in the room door) and assigned parking spot. Breakfast was cafeteria trays in the kitchen - not sure if we were supposed to take these back to our room to eat?? Too cold and windy to sit outside. We left and went into town for breakfast. Great views, room nicely appointed, but you have to drive everywhere. It was not a very “friendly” experience at all!

No problems at all. Room was ready with the key in it. The view of the ocean and snow capped mountains was what we saw in bed when we woke up. Convenient to everything in tow and the area. You can’t go wrong trust me

This is the most beautiful bed and breakfast, with the most incredible view. The location is perfect and walkable into the down town. We woke up early for the sunrise and it was the most spectacular sight. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and cozy. Our biggest regret was only staying one night. We traveled all over the country but our minds kept going back to kaikoura and this location was a big part of why we felt that way.

This is a beautiful b b in the picturesque town of Kaikoura. We had an ocean view room with a balcony that was just mesmerizing. With an early start one morning for whale watching, the staff was more than accommodating, giving us a breakfast tray the day before.

The suite with ocean view is wonderful. We also deeply appreciated the breakfast being delivered to our unit. One does have to pay for laundry but at a nominal fee, with all things neatly folded, what's not to like. We had a lovely stay here.

Stayed in the Lavender room and it was wonderful. The view from the room is amazing! As for the room itself: comfortable bed, large bathroom, cozy sitting area... we will definitely stay here again next time we're in Kiakoura!! The location is very central to shops and restaurants and is near the bus station (this was important to us because we didn't drive there). The only thing to keep in mind is that the room has heating but no air conditioning (we couldn't find the A/C, but maybe it's hidden somewhere) and in the daytime the room gets hot, especially if you're away and have to keep the windows closed. That's just a minor concern though--everything else was wonderful.

Une chambre spacieuse qui aurait pu être plus propre en ce qui a trait aux fenêtres et les recoins. L’emplacement est magnifique entouré de végétation luxuriante. Les chanceux ont une vue sur la mer. Le personnel est sympathique et accommodant avec un early breakfast. Se fait bien à pied pour les restau, la mer ou se rendre au départ du Kaikoura Whale Watch.

Very nice location overlooking the bay. The Lodge itself is simple and in an ok condition (eg bathrooms are a bit worn down) given the price level. Still one of the better places in town...

A piece of Eden!
Fantastic warm welcome and service. Large and homely apartment with the most beautiful garden and ocean view. Great and tasty breakfast. If your staying in Kaikoura, you have to stay at the Lemon Tree Lodge. Truly a piece of Eden! Bente & Dennis, Denmark
