This property was very handy to South Bay boat ramp, and easy off-street parking for the boat. We enjoyed our stay, the property had all the amenities we needed and was warm and comfortable.

Lovely place for a low key break
Lovely little property - perfect size for a family of 4. Super warm and cozy. Given it relies on previous occupants to clean it wasn’t super clean on arrival (it was clear it needed a good vacuum), but all cleaning products are provided so not difficult to fix :)

Amazing location, has everything you need!
Loved our stay here! My two young kids and I had enough space to run around outside and all the comforts inside for when the weather shifted and we headed indoors. Close to all of the best parts of Kaikoura and just a short walk to the peninsula track. Loved our stay!

Property met all expectations. Homely and comfortable. Good communication from owner. Price great compared to local motels considering amenities and comfort. Lovely kiwi bach. Went up to kaikoura for a fishing charter so just a short walk to jetty and could leave car safely at the house. Thanks

A comfortable budget stay.
It suited us. Thanks. The bedroom curtain needs attention. It was very warm on arrival due to all windows closed in hot weather. We would like to have been told where to take our rubbish.

Lovely place to stay.
We have stayed there before its a great place to stay and very close to all things we wanted to do and love it, but we think the people before us could of had a pet with them white hair over things. I would stay there again.

Great location, perfect little bach.
Ideal for fishing/ surfing trips (literally a stones throw to the ramp). Really private location tucked down a drive way. Clean and tidy, great little spot.

Overall the stay was great. Accomodation had everything we wanted. But it was very clear that the previous people had not given a toss about cleaing before leaving. Both beds were clearly used, blankets were thrown on. The bathroom was not cleaned, still had belongings in it. Floors had not be vacuumed or washed. Very dissapointing. We did leave in a much better state than what we found.

We are very disappointed with this review. The person who booked changed their minds last minute so we refunded a nights accommodation charge when we did not need to. They then increased the number of people staying which we did not charge extra for. .They then requested to stay the night we had refunded however we have booked it to someone else so could not accommodate their request. They had contacted us 5 times before the booking and then they did not contact us when they claimed the house was not tidy to give us an opportunity to get a person around to clean. They left the house in a complete mess and very dirty! We clearly state to contact us if there are any issues which she claims there was however she did not bother to contact us

Change of Scenery
Our week-long stay in Kaikoura was an escape from Wellington and the chance to catch up with our adult daughter. As the weather was atrocious ŵe were very happy with the comfortable sofa and the flatscreen TV with Netflix. We couldn’t use the dining room table which was on the deck outside because of the temperatures but in summer it must be bliss. Overall we really enjoyed the cosy little bach. Communication with the hosts was outstanding; when we had problems with the hot water the plumber arrived in a flash and fixed it. Thank you for a fuss free stay! P.S. There is a recycling centre on top of the peninsula for rubbish and recycling.

Peaceful spot by the bay
We enjoyed a wonderful time in this small but well equipped bach. It suited our small, young family and we were thrilled with the location which was just a short walk to the beach/bay.) A recommended place to stay!

Property was easy to find and had everything we needed. Level of cleanliness was below par (dead bugs everywhere, peanuts throughout the second bedroom, needs a deep clean), owner offered another night for free which we won't use as we won't be going through again any time soon. Thanks.

For the style of the place and the price you have to pay, the level of clean up you have to do before leaving seems a little disappointing, especially when there doesn’t appear to be much input from hosts between visits.

Hi This review is disappointing We clearly state no cleaner is provided so we can keep costs down Our nightly rate for 4 people is the cheapest for any Bach in South Bay The reviewer only stayed 1 night so I am confused by the level of cleaning comment as surely they did not create that much mess to clean up?
