Te Mahuru is a most exceptional, beautiful, very clean and overall, a perfect place to stay. Jen went out of her way to be accommodating and we give thanks t the highest rating possible. The gardens and views were spectacular, the hot tubs were lovely and very clean and the breakfast was delicious. Homemade bread each morning and plenty of great choices. The patio off our room was very private and comfortable for sitting with a cup of tea gazing at the beautiful mountains in the background. Overall, this was our favorite place to stay on our trip.

We stayed in the cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Although just for an short over night stay, but we enjoyed the use of the private hot tub, pictures scenery, comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. We'll definitely return for a longer stay.

The hosts were warm and friendly. Breakfast was good & plentiful. Hot tub was easy to use & very relaxing. Lovely gardens that are beautifully maintained. A bit of a distance from Kaikōura so glad we had a car.

Te Mahuru Tetreat is a jewel in Kaikoura’s crown. A perfect location, easy to get to and not far out of Kaikōura itself. The accommodation provides a high standard of facilities and is immaculate. It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat. Nothing is too much for the host and the breakfast is well catered. We had a very comfortable and relaxing staying, the only thing is we wished we had stayed for longer. You will not be disappointed and would highly recommend this accommodation if you are staying in Kaikoura and the surrounding area.
