Top Hotels Near Izusan Jinja Shrine in Atami from NZ$92

"A good stay can be ruined by unimaginative people who behave loud after 10 PM. Such were my neighbours at my floor last night. Loud talking between 10 pm -1 pm and a person who was directly above me was active and noisy until 1:30 am. Pure idiocy and I wish the management could kick out such people in the middle of the night. Breakfast was a minimum they could give. Beyond any doubt it was the worst breakfast out of six hotels I have stayed in during my trip in Japan. "

"Building is old but well cleaned. Nice ocean view! Two Big downsides:( The hotel is a bot far from station, and there wasn’t enough shuttle bus for everyone to use at the time of checkout. We were refused, and had to call taxi and pay for it. Be sure to reserve shuttle bus seats the day before!! Also, the large bath is not locked and the entrance is connected to public road. No supervision nor check upon entry. Anyone who knows there’s bath has access to it, it would be so easy to enter & tamper. I didn’t feel safe about this."

"It’s cheap and convienient to the station. It says bed with loft but the room we were in was a bunk bed. Sheets were horrible and they don’t even give you a full pillow sheet so by the time you get up the half sheet is off the pillow. You have to pay for everything like towels and yukata. Really limited hours in the tub. The breakfast for 500 yen is a joke, bowl of rice and tea. Only go if all others are booked. Spartan at best."

"It is a bit of a walk uphill, but the view and public bath is good. Most rooms share a bathroom across the hall. Very nice staff."

"It’s a lovely luxury vacation resort. Beautiful, well equipped. Shower is very powerful (not all hotels have that). Outdoor Onsen bath per room with sea view is the best. All staffs are very nice and helpful. The spa is superb too. We did facial and body massage. Totally relaxed. It’s a great resort. Dinner is nice. One recommendation: breakfast is limited to Japanese style only. It would be great if the hotel can offer Japanese style and western style. We have been to karaku Hakone. The KARAKU Hakone offers both western and Japanese style breakfast. "
