Unbeatable city, harbour and sunset views await at Hong Kong’s tallest skyscraper, which is also the location for a spectacular sound and light show.

Soaring to a lofty height of 1,588 feet (484 meters), the International Commerce Centre is the tallest structure in Hong Kong. Together with the Two IFC skyscraper on Hong Kong Island, it creates the image of a contemporary gateway to Victoria Harbour. Visit the International Commerce Centre for views from its panoramic observation deck and a drink at one of the world’s highest bars. Watch a record-breaking sound and light show that illuminates the skyscraper’s glass façade.

Offices and an upscale hotel occupy many of the tower’s 118 floors. On any evening, view the impressive sound and illumination display projected onto 500,000 square feet (50,000 square meters) of the exterior. In 2013 the building won the Guinness Book of Records award for the largest light and sound show on a single building. Ocean Terminal Deck and the Hong Kong Island waterfront are great places to view the show.

Travel by high-speed elevator to sky100, the observation deck located on the 100th floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide 360-degree views of Hong Kong and Victoria Bay. Look through the virtual reality telescopes to see scenes from different times of the day. There are interactive exhibits about the city as well as a café and souvenir shop.

The Ritz Carlton Hong Kong hotel occupies the upper floors of the skyscraper. Order a drink in the rooftop bar, which is among the highest in the world, and appreciate the views from its outdoor terrace. Alternatively, sample exquisite Chinese and Italian cuisine at the hotel’s two Michelin-star restaurants.

It’s easy to reach the ICC by taking the subway to Kowloon station. The building is located in the Yau Ma Tei area of the Yau Tsim Mong district. Visit Elements, a mall with bars, restaurants and high-end retail outlets adjacent to the skyscraper. Parking is available for a fee at the mall.

Attractions at the International Commerce Centre are open daily. There is an admission fee to access sky100. Entrance to the hotel bar is free, although there is a dress code and you are required to purchase drinks or food.
