The US Grant, a Luxury Collection Hotel, San Diego

5.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1003)
"Room 712 - bathroom smells like a sewer. Seriously disgusting. The heater is the loudest noise you've ever heard so good luck trying to go to sleep with the temperature regulated. You can either have warmth or silence. Ordered room service and they didn't bring me butter with my $8 toast. When I asked them to bring it they said it would take 15 minutes. I can go downstairs and buy butter from CVS and be back in 15 mins. Their lack of staff isn't my problem. Maybe they shouldn't forget basic...

Beach Village at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

5.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (104)
"We go to The Del for the 'old style' service. This grand and
luxurious
hotel has always been a wonderful retreat, and we go several times a year. It feels like home. At this time, the true value for ultimate service and hospitality is at Beach Village. If you want a lovely oceanfront hotel, stay in the Victorian building or the Shorehouse. If you want true
luxury
and service that stands the test of time, you have to stay in the Beach Village. I recommend it very highly. "
