Nice resort! Brand new, clean, great staffs, a lot to do, awesome restaurants, huge convention center, and one of the best water park/pools area. Highly recommended!
Don't stay anywhere else if in the San Diego area! The BEST hotel ever. I loved it so much, I am booking it again right now! The staff were amazing, the rooms were comfortable, clean and well kept, the service at every location within the property was excellent.
The only downfall I would have to comment on is that he parking structure is quite far from the main lobby and room elevators. Be prepared to walk quite a distance.
But overall, Gaylord hotels are a MUST!
Super cool resort. Had fun at the 4 pools + Jacuzzi. Pool food was good too and delivered right to your chair.
They have a shuttle that takes you to 3rd Street/downtown and now there is a ferry that takes you to the gas lamp!
Would stay here again!
The staff was AMAZING. We took 5 kids under 8 with us, they loved all the food and the staff made us feel like royalty. They helped with anything we needed or found quick solutions making our stay with littles super easy. The pool was so much fun and the rooms were spectacular.
Our family has stayed at the Gaylord Pacific Resort twice already, and we’re planning another visit this summer. It’s become one of our kids’ favorite vacation spots! They could spend all day enjoying the lazy river, wave pool, and water slides.
One of the highlights of every trip is the breakfast buffet. While it’s on the expensive side, the quality and variety make it worth the splurge. There are so many delicious options, including a made-to-order omelet bar, a crepe station, fresh pastries, our favorite French yogurt, and even a hot chocolate bar. My kids even look forward to the fun little details, like the teeny tiny bottles of Tabasco at the buffet.
If you’re looking for a fun family getaway, this resort has plenty to keep both kids and adults entertained. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!
Everything was great with th exception Growler restaurant inside. Our Server was horrible, saw her when she took the order, seen her when food was dropped off (asked for condiments but never got) then last appearance is when she collected the bill. She had no business being a server. Not to mention the food was bland and expensive. Save your money and try another spot of door dash. Other than that…Hotel all in all was awesome!!
The first day was amazing; the front desk lady was so nice and super helpful. She even went the extra mile to help me set up my Marriott Bonvoy account. But today, the second day, I don't know what happened with the front desk on the second shift. The lady was rude and careless. We simply asked for some information about the pool area and free bicycles, and she completely shut me off and told me to ask the pool area staff for all the information I needed.
So, it's kind of upsetting, but so far everything else is amazing.
Beautiful resort, the food at the restaurant Growlers was ok we had the nachos, chicken cesar salad and waygu burger, was a little cold. I had my two year old with me and the waitress tried to place us right at the very front during FIFA game so I requested a different table and she did move us which I appreciated. The pools were relaxing. The balcony views stunning during sunset and to watch the fireworks. If I could just recommend something maybe a sensory friendly room for kids. My little one has Autism so I would have like to have taken her somewhere where she can can play in quieter setting then the game room or pool. But overall really enjoyed out stay.
