"Excellent hotel, great facilities and staff"
This was my second time staying at the Nikko Saigon. It is a great choice for business and leisure travellers. The rooms are large and very comfortable, it is very quiet and relaxing, which is important in a hectic city like HCMC. The spa, fitness area and pool are all good facilities. The breakfast has amazing choice to cater for travellers from different countries. Staff are exceptionally polite and accommodating. I would always stay here when visiting HCMC.

"The staff make the experience!"
I thoroughly enjoyed my four-night stay at Caravelle Saigon. From the hotel pick-up at the airport, which was extremely convenience, to the check-in and check-out process; everything went smooth. I was on the executive level and the convenience of the lounge was worth the upgrade. The hallways are a bit tired, but my room was spotless and everything was in order. The pillow menu was a big plus for me, as most hotels don't offer an option.

"Great outside pool area"
This hotel might be a bit impersonal because there always seems to be "something going on" in terms of conferences, weddings and so forth, but it is very good nevertheless. Rooms are standard 4 or 5 star hotel, nothing specially really, but the hotel amenities are very good. The gym is excellent, but the jackpot is really the outside pool area. I was there during the Saigon Pool Party, which was a bonus if you're in your 20s, 30s, or 40s, or perhaps even older, who knows. One embarrassing bit, for them was that I wandered in with my long-time girlfriend who is Asian (but not Vietnamese) and we were asked by security to go to the reception to get a "pass"... we're pretty calm but I assume some people in a similar situation would get rather upset.

Good location and had a great stay. Shops were close by around a 5-10 minute walk pending in where you're headed. The buffet breakfast had a large variety to choose from and the rooftop bar has amazing views of the city.
