"Nice stay, great location. Rooms are a bit small but recently renovated, clean, and comfortable. Staff was professional and friendly. When we first got there we had them bring our luggage up (which we usually do not do) and after waiting an hour had to go back and ask where it was. It quickly arrived after that. The valet staff was great, but am not a fan of valet parking because I like quick access to my vehicle and the lot closed at 9 which meant we had to run in and ask where to park. They would unlock the gate and let us in. While I appreciate the idea of safety, however, often cars are parked across the street in an unlocked lot. We couldn’t simply park it ourselves because the hotel has only certain spaces in the lot across the street. Great for people who just want to park the car for the stay. The area is very walkable and last time we were there we never used the car. This time we were there for a wedding and had to drive almost everyday of our 4 day stay. The hotel is pricy, but similar to other hotels with a similar location and the location is great! Would recommend for staff and location."

"I really liked the quaint environment of the Upham Hotel and how convenient it was to get to surrounding shops and restaurants by foot. The service was great with daily room cleanings and perks such as a “happy hour” which made our time there more enjoyable. The grounds are immaculately kept and helped give us additional spaces to enjoy during our stay. Our room was the right size to make it comfortable without being too large or costly. Would definitely recommend the Upham Hotel to anyone traveling to the Santa Barbara area!"
