"I booked on a room only basis but you could add breakfast at any point. I liked that all you had to do was go in to the dining room and give your room number. It was £15 each, all in. There is a cold buffet and hot food was made to order. The only thing that would have made it better, was if you could have the cold buffet only (say for a reduced price), as i dont eat cooked breakfasts, i only have toast or cereals. So to still pay £15 for toast and coffee is way too pricey! The room was spacious and clean, and very quiet. I paid extra for an executive twin, so was expecting a few upgrades to a standard room. However the furniture was very dated, the carpet was quite stained in one area, and the bathroom was oldish. HOWEVER, it was all very clean. Which to me is the most important! I did enquire at front desk to see if i was in the right room, and was told the only difference having an executive room is the bigger size!! Nothing else! So i wont pay extra for an executive next time. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very neat and tidy, freshly painted and new carpet (in most areas). I will definitely stay again, on a room only basis, but will just pick a standard room next time. My room was very quiet. Away from the road and carpark. Perfect for me. "

"Hotel is in a great location and all the staff were excellent. Breakfast was decent. Pool was clean and easily accessible The rooms are tired and require a refurbishment the gaps in the window allowed road noise and a draft to the room, cupboard door handles are secured primitively with wood screws and the bedside electric socket did not work. "

"Room was separate from main building - across and down the street! Suffered disturbance from folks banging on external door and shouting/ carrying on. Happened on 2 nights of a 3 night stay. When we turned up, was thinking of making it a regular stopover - not so sure now."

"Stayed for two nights in March 2026 - Room 10 Location is really nice - in the centre of a pretty village - and the pub is warm and welcoming from the offset. Pub has its own parking (about 10 spaces I think) but access is a small and winding roadway around the pub with high walls in places. We managed to get our medium sized SUV through in daylight just fine but decided to park on the road when we returned the next day in the dark. There is additional street parking dotted around. Staff were super friendly and efficient at all times. food service was fast and all meals (2x breakfast and one evening meal for us) was very tasty and of great quality. Prices were about average and certainly appropriate for the quality and service. Room was a little disappointing with a few large cobwebs in ceiling corners and a general feel that decoration is probably due. That said, we did notice that other rooms (open doors in morning while cleaners were in) looked nicer than ours so assume gradual decor improvements are underway. All in all we'd certainly stay again and would look forward to the experience."

"We were happy with our room apart from it said it was a king, and it was only a double bed. I never find them very comfortable to share. The history of the pub, breakfast room, location and parking were all appreciated. We would recommend it."

"The room was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and the menu offered plenty of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking space."
