The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was very comfortable and perfectly situated near the bus terminal, Happo One, and restaurants. Hakuba Onsen Ryokan Shirouma-so
Hakuba Onsen Ryokan Shirouma-soHokujo
10/10 Excellent
This was our first trip to Japan and our first time staying in a traditional Japanese Ryokan. We will be back. Loved it.
It's family-owned - Toshi and his family were very welcoming, spoke good English, had loads of local knowledge to help us out and had traditional breakfasts and dinners on offer (cooked by Toshi's mother, who comes out and greets everyone at meal time - FYI: you need to book the day before for dinners).
We were warm, comfortable (futons were fairly firm but we slept...
