A wonderful hotel in a sleepy onsen town. The staff are out of this world and the hospitality is unlike anything else.

Nestled amidst the idyllic beauty of Hakone, Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora offers a blissful retreat. From the moment we arrive, we are greeted by a warm welcome by the wonderful professional staff. The impeccable service and facilities which includes a private onsen in the room and in the hotel - is so relaxing and we feel so rejuvenated after exploring the Hakone area.

Gorgeous property with very many nice amenities. The fun foot spa was a treat. You can order drinks and snacks and enjoy a nice foot soak while looking out over the river. Very attentive staff. Very well treated.

Most importantly the hotel has a shuttle from/to the Gora train station (10am-6pm). Make sure you call them otherwise you will suffer trying to go down steep and narrow steps with luggage thinking it is a short walk. We had booked a room for 3 and there is only one bed. Had to not only pay for the sofa bed but also breakfast for our child which is very odd considering the booking was for 3. The shelf in the room had a serious amount of dust buildup which is very unusual for Japan. The balcony hot spring and the hotel hot spring are absolutely amazing. Make sure you take advantage!

Staff is very nice and the amenities were amazing. It was amazing to leave the door open on the river side and use it as white noise/use the bath!

This hotel is beautiful. Love the decor. Very clean and loved the in room onsen. View was not the best. It wasn’t river view which would have been fabulous. The hotel is a 30 minute drive from Odawara Station. The hotel has a free shuttle service with limited time slots. For rest and relaxation this is a great hotel.
