The location is ideal for exploring the picturesque Norfolk Broads. Head off on walks straight from the front door to the Broads and the surrounding countryside, with plenty of bird-watching, cycling, fishing opportunities. The extensive sandy beaches of the Norfolk coast are only a short drive away. In the winter months, see the seal pups at Horsey Beach.

The village boasts a large, dog-friendly pub called The Lion at Thurne. This is a 2-minute walk down the lane and they serve a range of beers, wines and spirits (including their own gin selection) and a lovely menu where all the family are sure to find something they like to eat!
