The Duke of York is a proper British local pub in a building that's a good few hundred years old. The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming and the food is great. Dont get upset that there's no lift to the upper level or at the absence of Aircon. Just go with the flow

I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast. The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again. Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm.

This is a fantastic place to stay, right in the town. There is parking on site which is very handy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The food is simply amazing. We will definitely be back.
