Lovely little stay in the Devon countryside, pool was great, staff were excellent. Property needs a little touch up here and there but rooms were big, gym was good and if you’re into golf it’s perfect.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms spacious and clean, quiet and comfortable. The driving range was convenient, staffed by helpful and funny people. padel was also very quick to get to. It was easy going and relaxed. OK, the weather was great and that’s the icing on the cake.

Good selection of food on the menus at reasonable prices. Our meal in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast has good selection also. The patio doors and windows around hotel and restaurant could do with a clean, other than that it was clean and the rooms were comfortable.

The location was great, and tranquil/ quiet, yet easy to get to Exeter and Exmouth. Lovely hotel seemed top quality. We stayed in a 4 bedroom lodge which was great. Gym was top quality, and swimming etc. housekeeping staff really nice and friendly. Overall it was a great stay, want to stay again soon

Property generally has good amenities with a good golf course and a reasonable golf bar and gym/swim facilities. That is why everyone chooses to stay. However, there were many flaws which i would like to list to help others in the later feedback templates.

Staff were the best thing about the hotel stay. Room was nice enough for our 1 night stop over (family room) with breakfast. Could have been cleaner in the room, no AC, and standing lamp didn’t work. Also could hear the people above moving around.

It’s a lovely hotel. A little bit dated now, in places, but overall really nice in a nice setting and location. The staff were friendly although there were a few occasions things were asked for and not delivered on. I put this down to them being young and maybe not fully engaged with their roles. Could maybe do with some senior leadership to raise standards to where they could easily be. I would recommend and I would stay again. Just manage your expectations. Don’t expect the best. But overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I paid for breakfast both mornings. The food quality was great but often things were missing and not replenished. A little disappointing at £16 pp price point.

A lovely establishment & beautiful setting Unfortunately there is renovation work at present & it spoilt our stay, there was a small temporary gym We had a lovely room over looking the golf course, but the workmen were parked directly outside our balcony giving us no privacy at all, we had to keep the curtains pulled which was a shame.. They arrived at 6.30am & the noise woke us up each morning. I dont think these rooms should be used whilst such work is going on.

The breakfast was great, the restaurant in the club house was nicer than in the main hotel. The spa was excellent (massages and great pedicure with friendly staff). The pool was good, but busy. Convenient location.
