"There is a guest book at the Rock Inn which dates back to 1903 and it chronicles the experiences of the people who vacationed there. After reading through it one has to agree that it is a special place. We had a lovely stay at the Rock Inn. Our room was cosy with a comfy bed. We booked our meals in because the food is superb and the service friendly and attentive. We look forward to going back."

"The most beautiful hotel in the most idyllic Devon setting. We stayed on a wet and dreary February evening and we didn't even care about the weather. We played tennis in the beautiful gardens in advance of our outstanding 10 course tasting menu dinner with paired wines by Michael Wignall. The sommelier kindly typed out the wine pairings for us at our request. "The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep.
