"Many places were fully booked for July , so I was left with two extremes- either a hostel or overpriced rental with too much space for one person.Fortunately, there was one room available here at a reasonable rate and my friends staying not too far away had a rental car to pick me up.There is virtually no other transportation here!For two nights, this place was a good experience.I slept well,but there is nothing nearby such as an open restaurant or convenient store. "

"Stayed for a night on my birthday. A little disappointed with not even a birthday wish despite informing the hotel months earlier when I booked our room. However, the sumptuous keiseki dinner and friendly staff made me feel better. Would be great if there was more time to savour each dish. Our Japanese styled room with twin beds was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It has a nice view of the lake.
