"Location and overall appeal of the hotel is great. Some staff are really good and helpful. Most are courteous but the language barrier makes it super hard at times. Front desk was the worst and there was a huge gap in requests made to them and getting those executed by the staff. Cleanliness needs a WHOLE LOT to be improved on. In every room and every aspect of bathrooms. "

"After a week touring the island, we just wanted somewhere to rest and relax. We could not have found anything better. Beautifully decorated private villa with pool, each one well apart so totally tranquil. The service was impeccable, excellent massage, variety of evening food experiences, first class local and international cuisine. All in a tea plantation setting with a wide variety of wildlife passing through. Just memorable "

"I couldn't fill in the boxes above so out of 5 with 5 being top, overall it's a 4. Hotel staff 3 - some training needed there, although they did try to be helpful, hotel condition and facilities 4 though more sunbeds are needed. Room clean so 4, comfort I would say 3 as double bed was too small, mattress very soggy and uncomfortable, pillows lumpy. Everything else was fine and hotel is in a lovely spot with great views towards the hills to the north. The wildlife was a bonus - purple faced...

"First time in Sri Lanka. Simply one of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. Friendly, courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us, a superb room with a balcony offering a beautiful beach view. We stayed five nights and didn't bother to eat anywhere else - the food was excellent. We wanted to take the chef home with us. We took long walks along the beaches and spent a lot of time in the wonderful hotel grounds and by the very stylish infinity pool. We want to visit Sri Lanka again soon...
