We love visiting this unique hotel. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The lido is spectacular. Our annexe room is spacious and has a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. The addition of a fridge in the room was very welcome.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff don’t return emails answer phones or return phone calls. Check-in ends at 9 PM and if you aren’t there you can’t get into your room. I’ve travelled the world and never in my life had such bad customer service. The Travelodge however has excellent staff clean rooms and comfortable beds. At nearly half the price is an exceptionally better value.

Rooms a little care worn, building exterior too could do with some attention. Pool was nice but no towels provided and drinks were not complementary. Staff friendly enough but t overall it seems this is a hotel that has seen better days.
We had an enjoyable stay in this very pleasant hotel. We did not take advantage of the spa facilities but we're told by other guest that they were excellent.
The staff are all very welcoming and friendly.
We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Lovely location. Welcoming staff, comfortable beds, nice shower, nice food. Lovely pool if you like cold water swimming. Also pet friendly.
Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. There was a glitch in the admin system which meant it thought I hadn't paid, paid again and then got to room, checked and went back to rectify and said it could take up to 6 days to refund. The room was boiling even though there was a fan in the room, they had no extra fans to help with the warmth which was nearly unbearable on day 1. The room was for 3 people but only set up for 2. You can see the effort they are putting into the hotel and they're doing a great job of it. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. We didn't know the facilities in the spa were not working and we're not told upon checking in however the weather was perfect for the lido thankfully which is a lovely asset. Would definitely return but take an extra fan if hot weather is expected.

Staff were really helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Loved the thermal spring water swimming pool which was included in the cost of my stay.
Our room was spacious but it was tired with the carpet and decor needing some updating, but believe this is work in progress throughout the hotel. The sofa bed was uncomfortable for our daughter.
Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was fine, selection was good.
The outdoor pool is great, but for over 18’s so families beware. But it’s fantastic, a little chilly for me but great in a wetsuit.
Had a great stay, comfy beds, balcony view overlooking the geo thermal swimming pool was great. Helpful staff and spa was great. Good location to the local attractions. Enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend.

Perfect stay for families with dogs. There were areas for us to sit together in the bar for an evening meal and in a dog friendly breakfast room. The rooms were average, tired but clean- great for travelling with dogs. Limited outdoor areas for taking dogs for comfort breaks but there plenty of walking areas in Matlock. Good base for the Peak District- we visited Dovedale and Bakewell. Venture further afield for evening meal in dog friendly pubs as the hotel food is a bit meh. Breakfast very basic but just right for our short stay. Didn’t try the pool as we had the dogs and teens (both not allowed). Didn’t try the spa either.
Once again i had a lovely time at the New Bath Hotel.
The staff are most welcoming and nothing is too much for them.
The food was amazing and came to my table hot and perfect.
The only downside is that there is no longer any bottled water in the rooms which i do miss and must remember to get some before i get to the hotel.
I also have seen quite a few dogs at the hotel which i have no problem with.

We arrive a little bit early but good news room was available.drove round the back of the building on your right was staff accommodation well what a sight that is Brocken window frames.windows that looked like they had never been cleaned , right eye sore.
luckily we wear not staying in them .our room was just past them basic but showers looked new .coffee and tea and water in room .
I have to wear a c -pap mask at night because I have sleep apnea.
There is no plug socket any were near the beds headboard so had to go to reception and ask for extension lead.witch was supplied.
The pool is very busy and one end (deep ) was green and had bits floating in it but it was a hot day so tried to stay in the shallow end which was a lot cleaner.free for guests or £10 an hour or day ticket £25.
note brought a can of coke and a glass of water (£6.00) not cheap.
Breakfast was very nice full English self service or cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt ,orange juice or apple juice, tea ,coffee.
The Staff were very pleasant. Overall alright for a one night stop over but accommodation definitely needs updating.
We love this hotel. We stay several times a year. The lido is amazing. It is a beautiful swim and the lifeguards are so welcoming and friendly. The annexe rooms with balconies overlooking the pool are our favourite places to stay. Highly recommended 👌
Nice and easy to find, greeted by friendly helpful staff, our room was ok just needs painting lots of marks around the walls, bathroom was clean. Downstairs around the bar was nice, served a good pint of Guinness.
We booked a treatment in the spa section of the hotel along with afternoon tea, very good price for what you get, wouldnt say its a spa you would be pleased to take a bunch of you to relax, hottub was ok, sauna and steam room are past their best, the one bonus is, if your brave you can take advantage of a swim in the famous matlock lido, that was an amazing experience , bloody cold but glad we had a go. I would probably stay there again as its in a great location as a base if you want to visit the peaks.
