Unique and Marvelous Hideaway with the Cosmic Energy of Crestone!

8/10 Good
"Quiet, very relaxing experience. Convenient to Sand Dunes National Park. Would stay at this property again. Got to try Starlink Internet for the first time and the speeds were very good. Property also had a telescope that was fun to use. Don’t expect a typical TV experience. That was challenging, but the whole purpose of this property really is to kind of get away and unplug so it wasn’t a big deal. There are a lot of puzzles and books at the property."

It's a small, walkable area where you'll find the main grocery store and community gathering spots. The streets are generally unpaved, adding to the rural feel, and homes often have views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate staying within or near the village. It's also a good base for exploring the various spiritual centres and hiking trails that are scattered around the valley, often just a short drive away. For those seeking a more secluded experience while still being close to the village, accommodation just outside the main residential grid offers larger properties and more direct access to hiking paths.

The local shops and restaurants are also fully operational, suiting visitors. For those interested in hiking and exploring the natural beauty, late spring (May-June) offers lush landscapes and flowing creeks from the melting snow, while early autumn (September-October) brings cooler temperatures and stunning golden aspen foliage. Summer (July-August) is superb for those who enjoy warmer weather and longer daylight hours for outdoor adventures.Winter months, from November to April, can be very cold, with significant snowfall that can restrict access to certain areas and trails.
