"We stay here every Summer for a few days while we climb the tall peaks in the area. Could not ask for a better base camp for an alpine start and a comfortable end to a day in the high country."

Pinewood Family Retreat House with Game Room and Pool Table
8/10 Good
"house was very clean and comfortable to stay in. For some reason the ceiling fan in the master bedroom didn't work and that room gets no air flow at night like the two guest rooms and family room. Owner was sorry for it, I understand things break, all in all, it was a great place. Also, missing the smoke detector in the master bedroom. Location in description I believe said only 20 minutes from Great Sand Dunes NP which is actually about an hour. I had already mapped and knew, so didn't hurt me to much but we used this house as a base for going white water rafting in Salida as well, and it was centrally located for both those two adventures, so it worked great for us. Charming Crestone Mountain Cottage- 1 mile from town!
10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful home! It’s well equipped, comfy, has plenty of seating, and is well decorated. It’s next to a fun town and close to the super-fun sand dunes!"
"The property is lovely and in a beautiful remote feeling location. The kitchen is well supplied and house was as described in the listing. It's very family friendly and has cute decor. We had a beautiful view of the stars when the sky was clear, though the mosquitoes did limit how much time we wanted to spend enjoying the outdoor features of the property. It's well located for family activities, we drove an hour and visited the sand dunes, Zapata Falls, and Colorado Gators all in the same area in one day. We enjoyed our time at the A-Frames!"
Cabin | Geodome | Hot Tub | Fire Pit | Stargazing Pergola | Great Sand Dunes NP
10/10 Excellent
"Stay was great! We only spent one night as we traveled through this part of Colorado on our way to the Sand Dunes. Only thing we did not like was the mosquitos! Not much a host can do about that though! "
"We could not get a hold of host for keyless access and to talk about concerns we had. I sent multiple emails and called him several times and left voicemails. He called us 30 minutes before our checkin saying he had never received anything from me. We ended up staying at a hotel and didn’t receive our full refund."
