Slightly quirky style with turrets and leaded windows which was different. Nice spa/jacuzzi and small pool. However it is looking very tired and in need of attention and maintenance such as windows didn’t fit properly and in need of painting and the bathroom wasn’t in very good condition and very basic crockery etc

Tired and in need of an upgrade. Ground floor unit with windows that had no security latch and therefore could not be left open. No cooling unit and no fan in bathroom therefore no ventilation if you want a secure unit,

The Camelot is very central to the city, Merivale & nearby hospitals. My room was upgraded and had lots of space for just me! Room was warm and bed was cosy & comfortable.

Great service at check in, Room was what I expected for what I paid, however the noise from the surrounding rooms was terrible. Very thin walls, could hear everytime the room on either side or above me showered or used the toilet. Next time, I would definitely pay a little bit more and stay at their neighbouring Pavillions, so I could get some sleep.

Unfortunately Christchurch was experiencing some very warm weather while we stayed at the Camelot. The room was shut up when we arrived and very hot. We really missed an air conditioning unit. The room was clean, the service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. It was generally quite quiet.

The location is very convenient, very close to Hagley park. The parking is very tight, we had to park a little bit away from our unit. We are appreciate the motel is pet friendly, let our fur kids stay. Our overall staying was pleasant. But the supply in the room was not sufficient. I couldn’t pump out any body wash / shampoo at all after I started showering. We had to use hand wash soap instead. Also there was only 3-4 tissues in the tissue box. When I complained to the reception the next morning at the time we were leaving, the gentleman said he would tell the cleaner to refill and make sure that would not happen again. That’s good for their other customers, what about us who didn’t receive the full service that we paid for?😅 That was a surprise response from a complaint.
